Lore
Another international production was a guest in the historical city.
The film “Lore“ was shot in summer and autumn 2011.
Story
Southern Germany, in spring 1945. Fifteen-year-old Lore, the eldest daughter of high-ranking National Socialists, has grown up with an unshakeable belief in a leader, a nation and a homeland. But now, the war is lost, her parents are arrested by the Allies. Being all alone, Lore and her siblings have to trample to the North, where their grandmother lives. In nearly steadfast defiance, Lore clings to what she had learned, but among the cruel certainties of National Socialist education, irritating doubts start to arise. When mysterious Thomas, just a few years older than Lore, joins the group, Lore’s entrenched picture of the world finally collapses, and she has to face the new reality.
